Sneha Hasthaalu Activities Update From March 6th to July 16th

Hello Kind hearted Friends,

Good Day. Our Sneha Hasthaalu  proving the value of team work in reaching the needy. Please have a look at the  various activities initiated by our SnehaHasthaalu , in addition to our ongoing School Adoption & Supporting Graduate Students, between March 6th  to July 16th 2016. 

Activities Summary:

1. Procured Note books, Stationary for 7000 students and distributed Successfully at 92 adopted schools @ Total cost 5.5 Lakhs.

2. Organized Snehahasthaalu Talent Fair -2016 (Talent test, Essay Writing Competition, Quiz, Spell-bee) , 250 plus students participated @ Total cost 30000/- .

3. Friends celebrated their kids birthday and donated 10 benches for students & furniture for teachers at 2 adopted schools @ Total cost 32000/-.

4. Pooled and supported towards MBBS student Sailaja's (  Student request & support details @ Sailaja's profile)  4th year fee @ Total 2.52 Lakhs. 

5. Adopted 15 new schools with 750 students from  Bollapalli Mandalam (One of the most backward area in AP state , Guntur dt) @ Total estimated cost 3 Lakhs per year. 

6. Supported total 9 Graduate students in June Month through various organizations support ( Like Telugu People Foundation, NNR trust, Pari Foundation ) @ Total  cost  2.6 Lakhs.

Support pooled through various organizations and Friends:

           * From TPF we got support for 6 students ( 1.8 Lakhs)   

           * From NNR trust : 1 One student (30000/-)  

           * From Pari Foundation : 65000/-    

           * From our Snehahasthaalu : 3 Students ( 2.45 Lakhs)

7. Started Implementing English medium at 2 adopted schools on teachers request @ Total cost 40000/-

8. Supported Woman International Master (WIM) Chess player Pratyusha for attending various International tournaments @ Total Cost 3.5 Lakhs.
         * Improved Rating from 2242 to 2346 and selected for Olympiad chess tournament as a Indian team member by reaching 5th place in Indian women's as per June month Rating List.

Support Needed:

1. Need support for  arranging Vidya volunteers(tutors) at three adopted schools for next 8 Months.

            I.e. 2000/- per month per vidya Volunteer/tutor.  

 

2.Need Support for establishing Digital classes at two government schools , where we are implementing English Medium from this year.  I.e 50000/- per one Digital Class (Already our team provided computers)

 

3. Sponsor a cycle for girl student , where each cycle cost 3500/- per cycle 

      *We need 35 cycles for this year for selected orphan/semi orphan girl students who don't have proper transport facility and studying 6th/7th classes. 

       Already received support for 12 Cycles from Cambridge Students (UK). Still need support for 23 cycles.

 

4. Need support for tree plantation  to fulfill our target 1000 plants this year at and around our adopted 90 plus adopted schools.

       Sponsor a plant , 250/- per plant (50/- per plant and 200/- for protection per year)

5. Support needed for 15 new schools adopted from bollapalli mandalam. Friends can adopt and support one schools on their family members name,where cost comes around 350/- per student per year.
